Meet Our Team
Dr. Andrea Taddese is a developmental optometrist specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of developmental and functional vision problems in both children and adults. Dr. Taddese received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Evansville and her Doctor of Optometry from Indiana University (IU) in 2010. She is an associate of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD). She holds memberships in the Optometric Extension Program Foundation, College of Syntonic Optometry, Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation Association (NORA), and the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists. During her time at IU, she worked as a graduate assistant, was an academic tutor, and was the university liaison for COVD. After graduating from IU, Dr. Taddese worked in primary eye care while she pursued post-graduate training in binocular vision care. Dr. Taddese joined The Center for Vision Development in May 2016. She lives in Nashville with her husband, Addisu.
Dawn who is originally from Toledo, OH moved to Murfreesboro, TN in 2007 with her husband and 4 children. She has worked in the healthcare industry for past 17 years and has spent the last 8 years in management. Dawn joined The Center for Vision Development as our Practice Manager. In addition to her dedication to the successful growth and development of our office she has a true passion for helping children.
Emily is originally from and resides in Nolensville, Tennessee. She obtained her BA in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of Tennessee where she worked as a research assistant on a project examining emotional regulation. After graduating, she joined The Center for Vision Development. In addition to helping children reach their full potential, Emily also has a passion for books and music.
Samantha resides in Smyrna, TN with her husband Jey Farmer. She obtained her BA in psychology from the University of Tennessee in 2015 and joined The Center for Vision Development. Other than her love for helping and working with children, Samantha's passion is to put a smile on everyone's face. She loves making Youtube videos and playing tennis.
Kayla is originally from Lyles,TN and currently resides in the small town of Williamsport, TN. She received her B.S. in psychology from Lipscomb University and it was there that she discovered her passion for working with children diagnosed with developmental and learning disabilities. Her previous experience as a preschool teacher lead her to The Center for Vision Development, where her two passions met. Outside of work Kayla stays active hiking, kayaking, running, and weightlifting.
