Vision therapy can help those who lack the necessary visual skills for effective reading, writing, and learning. These visual skills include focusing, eye movements, perceptual skills, visual memory, etc. In addition, children who struggle with learning skills due to disabilities such as ADD, ADHD, Autism, and Dyslexia can be treated with vision therapy to help improve those skills.

Here at Center for Vision Development, we conduct a progressive program of vision exercises that are individualized to fit the visual needs of each patient. These programs are generally conducted in-office in one or two 30-60 minute weekly sessions. Shorter and more frequent sessions give patients a chance to absorb the information and hone in their newly learned skills more effectively. Essentially, the program will help patients develop or improve fundamental visual skills and abilities to change how our patients process or interpret visual information.

The first step in any vision therapy program is a comprehensive vision exam, so give us a call at (615)-791-5766 to schedule an appointment today!
